in the country!

Prior
to our move to the western industry, we had previously
been breeding palomino stock horses (Chyandra
derives its meaning from 'Golden Dawn'). Despite
converting to 'Western', we still had a passion for
palominos.
When the AQHA allowed Cremellos quarter horses to be registered
within Australia, we
began
considering importing a cremello quarter horse stallion
from the USA. We had already commenced our search
for the perfect Cremello Quarter Horse stallion to cross
over our chestnut paint and quarter horse mares, and to
therefore guarantee us beautiful palomino offspring
every time!
In
August 2006 our search for the 'perfect' cremello was over
when DMB Platinum
made his arrival at Burkes Stud in NSW Australia!
We couldn't believe our luck. With proven WORLD CLASS
bloodlines and eligible for full American and Australian
Quarter Horse Registrations, our prayers had been
answered. Platinum was born a ball of natural muscle
and with a neck to die for! He is so correct, with a
short back, great hocks and a lovely big hip. And as for
his movement, well, he just floats! Platinum
filled every criteria that we has set for our future
stud and we knew how lucky we were to have found him. As
well as being registered with the AmQHA & AQHA & UPBWDA,
Platinum is also listed with the PHAA.

Our
sincere thanks to Don and Marea Burke for allowing us to
purchase this outstanding colt. We are also very
grateful to Burke's manager Melissa Eeles and to Martin,
for all of their help and for a great job in weaning and
preparing Platinum for his journey to us down south.
Platinum
arrived here at Chyandra Park Stud at 4 months old in December 2006. He
were immediately impressed by his incredibly sweet
nature and he still is an absolute joy to own. We are
certainly having a lot of fun showing this gorgeous guy!

At
just 6 months old at his very first show,
Platinum was awarded
GRAND
CHAMPION Q/H STALLION!!!!
This was just a taste of the success that
was yet to come throughout his weanling season.
At the
Australian Halter Showcase
under USA Judge Kim Myers, Platinum was the
WINNER OF THE PRESTIGIOUS OPEN WEANLING
FUTURITY!!!!!
To top this off he also went
GRAND CHAMPION STALLION A/O, Champion
Q/H Weanling Colt & Champion Q/H Weanling Colt A/O!
Platinum
also won another two Open Weanling Futurities and four
more Grand Champion titles before heading up to the AQHA
National Show Q7. Platinum is now also a
AQHA NATIONAL CHAMPION
after winning the 2006 Weanling Q/H Colt A/O.
We were also very proud of our boy when he placed 3rd
overall in the National Weanling Futurity in a very
strong field!

Apart
from being an absolute stunner and having
WORLD CLASS breeding, the great news is that when
Platinum is bred over chestnut mares
he will produce palomino foals 100% of the time!
When crossed over
Bay,
Brown
or
Black mares, he
will produce
palomino, buckskin,
black or
the
rare smoky
black foals.
When bred over Palomino mares,
he will produce either palomino or cremello
offspring.
Platinum can
NEVER
produce a
Lethal White Foal
- therefore he is perfect to breed over your overo paint
mares to produce beautiful dilute coloured foals!!!
