The PLATINUM & OH IM AWESOME FOALS DO IT AGAIN!!!!! Last year we took DMB PLATINUM & OH IM AWESOME along to the QLD Appaloosa State Championship Futurities. Our wonderful stallions took out the double: DMB PLATINUM winning the 2YO State Halter Futurity and OH IM AWESOME winning the 3YO & Over State Halter Maturity! This year it was their weanlings turn to shine and shine they did! We are very proud to announce that on Saturday night the two Platinum weanlings prepared and shown by Chyandra Park Stud won .....  1st & 3rd in the Open Weanling State Futurity !!!! under judges Dr Simon Meyers and Mrs Gillian Vaux. We are also very happy to report that 3 of the top 6 were Platinum and Oh Im Awesome weanlings!!!! 7th May 2010       What A Show!!!!!!! 2010 Q10 WORLD SHOW DOWN UNDER   WOW!!!! What a show our 2YO filly CPS A Star Is Born had,  bringing home 3 buckles and a gorgeous trophy is on its way from the AmQHA for her GRAND CHAMPION TITLE!!! We have had an amazing journey with Star. Her face received major damage in a transporting accident as a weanling when we moved from VIC to QLD. She was hung upside down by her lead rope in the transporters truck for many hours, smashing bone across the bridge of her nose and leaving her with severe facial swelling for over a year. She also had many lacerations on all 4 legs. Of course as is usual for Spirit he was happy to smooch and cuddle with anyone who stopped by his stable for a visit. He left Q10 with his new owners and headed off on the long trip from Tamworth, NSW to his new home in SA. Thankyou so much to Spirit's new mum Tina for keeping us updated with his progress and we are happy to report he travelled like a seasoned pro and has settled in very quickly to his new home in SA. We wish Tina and David every success and happiness with Spirit - he will always be very dear to us and we look forward to reporting back on their adventures.   David, Tina & Spirit - 6AM at AELEC, Tamworth just about to load for the long trip home to SA   Tina writes; He's going great, you would think he'd been here years not days the way he's settled in! ...   Everyone that has visited him loves him, can't get over how friendly he is. It's impossible not to fall in love with the little guy .... ... Spirit is just lovely as always, we had our housewarming Saturday and he was the star of the show for the kids, every time I looked they were at his fence giving him attention, I reckon he stood there the whole time wanting them to come back when they walked away! Everyone loved him and just can't get over how quiet he is. The kids were kicking a ball around in front of his yard and he just didn't care, reckon he would have loved to have been out there with him! He truly is an angel, love him to bits :)   ....  he was very social, the next day I still had people saying how lovely he is and so friendly. I tell ya though he has people shocked that a QH can be so pretty in the head, they all think he looks like a riding pony ....     Spirit doing what he does best with his new mum and dad.       CPS SHEZA TOUCHDOWN (Treasure) Unfortunately Treasure had an accident in her stable and  injured her fetlock on the night before her Q10 Halter classes. We were very disappointed to withdraw Treasure from her classes, but importantly she has received the all clear from x-rays and the vet's prognosis is for a full recovery. Treasure will be spelled as long as is required for her injury to completely heal and we will be looking forward to showing her for her 2YO season.     Mel Cruden, Crazy Horse Designs,  took some great photos of our show team at Tamworth.
